Elvis Presley - The 1974 Indy Illusion.

Chapter 25 of “Elvis Presley – Desert Storm: The Shattering Of A Myth! College Park: The Revelation Of A Hoax!” is titled “Facing Down Death Threats At Indy’s Expo Center On The Afternoon Of 5th October 1974” and for those of you keenly interested in the widely criticized Fall ’74 tour, the twelve pages covering Elvis’ two appearances in Indianapolis should leave you more than satisfied. Other biographies have given you one or two sentences, or if you’re lucky, maybe a paragraph. This is a full-length chapter (along with chapters 23, 24 and 26) in which the lame theory of sleeping medication negatively impacting matinee shows on the year’s final tour is challenged and refuted.

Mrs. Kay Lipps has written an exclusive piece titled, “Fabulous In Indianapolis”. And Thomas P. Healy, who has contributed to The Indianapolis News, The Bloomington Alternative, Counterpunch, In These Times, Common Dreams and Beat Scene magazine, wrote an exclusive piece describing what he witnessed on October 5th and it’s titled “Elvis – A Master Showman”. Some of you are aware of the fact that Mr. Healy originally reviewed the 2:30 pm show back in 1974. At my request, he kindly agreed  to write an updated review (after listening to the import CD ‘On The Prowl In In-dianapolis’). Based on my interview with Bob Heis is an article titled, “Immaculate In Indianapolis”. Last but not least, Keith Alverson answered my question about a remark-able obstacle that Elvis had to overcome in order to perform at the Expo Center that October afternoon. Fans who think the performance was among his all-time worst place implicit trust in the National Enquirer to have accurately quoted from a conversation Elvis allegedly struck up with complete strangers – while the Closing Vamp blared!
